A slightly overdue On The Market roundup for April 15th. Sorry we’re running so late on this one today!
- 1980 Tourist 5 in Beverly Hills, CA for a whopping $500. (The sidewall wear from the dynamo suggests more than 3 rides. I see no shortage of these bikes in excellent condition for less than $180.)
- 1985 DX-2000 with some updates for sale in the Chicago, IL area for $500.
- 1986 Track 2000 with updates for sale in the San Francisco, CA area for $600.
- 1987 DX-2000 (small frame) for sale in Clermont, FL for $250.
- 1988 MC-3500 (large frame) for sale in North Phoenix, AZ for $200.
- 1988 DX-2000 (large frame) for sale in Arlington, TX for $240.
- 1987? DX-1000 (58cm) for sale in Berlin, Germany for 300 euros. (Paint scheme would be an ’87 in the U.S. but unsure about Germany. 300 euro seems rather expensive)
- 1989 MC-5500 (part of our collection) for sale on eBay with opening bid of just $200.
- 1989 Titanium remains for sale in the Boston, MA area for $2999. (Ouch. I still cannot even fathom how it could have cost 10k when new. It seems I would have remembered that from my ’89 PICS price lists.)
- NJS Track bike for sale in Toronto, Canada for $1250.
- *Daily Laugh* This Sport 500 in San Francisco is being touted as custom made and high end. The reality? Entry level model that was not custom made. Worth maybe $100 these days if you can stomach the lovely saddle etc.
