Here is a bike you don’t see every day. Titanium framed Panasonics were quite rare here in the USA with only a few coming in under the PICS program in 1989 (perhaps a few in late ’88).
This particular bicycle comes to us courtesy of Andrew in Texas. He took these photos while the bike was for sale. It has since been sold to a new owner in Macau, China.
As you can see, the bike has an odd mix of Tri-color Shimano 600 Ultegra, Campagnolo wheels, and Nitto stem and bars. The bicycle was apparently built for a B.D. Smith judging by the top tube name. If anyone out there happens to know this particular bicycle and can shed more information on how it got here to the U.S. etc. we’d love to hear from you in the comments area.
